I think I liked this one the best of the 5 in this series. Jimmy and Jodie spent weeks together, 24/7, and as a result, got to know each other very well. What seemed to be a chasm full of differences at first, narrowed down to nothing as they were surface differences. It was lovely watching them fall in love with each other. And I loved the epilogue that showed everyone from the 5 books, and where they were 7 years later.Product details

Loved the entire series. I was disappointed this was the last book in the series. Would have loved to keep the story going.
I found the first book from bookbub, I enjoyed the story lines in all 5 books. After listening to me laugh out loud more than once my husband asked me what was so funny. So I started reading the books to him. He enjoyed them also and he's not a reader. I wish there were more books in the series.
I have read all five books of this Serice. They are all five star books in my option. I would recommend them to you. They are nice clean romances with a touch of humor. I enjoyed reading each of them and recommend them to you.
I love series and this one is one of my favorites. Broken Roads refers to the Rascal Flatts song. And all 5 of these books are beautiful romances. No swear words and no graphic sex. Beautifully written love stories all related and all interesting and easy to read.
This is one of the best books Ms. Brown has sent us. The amount of research necessary to write about the rodeo riders and the different venues where they are held, plus the time to drive from place to place must have taken a lot of time. The difference in the two families was so familiar. Keep up tbe good work.
I loved everything about this book from beginning right up to the very last word. I thought I had already read every book that Carolyn Brown had written, that is until I came across these last few books. If I'm not mistaken...I think these were probably some of her earlier works, but they tie in with all her other books. Although, most of her books can be read as stand alone books.
Jodie Cahill is a previous winner of the Professional Bull Riders' gold belt buckle. Just about the time she decides to go back on the road to compete once again, she falls on the ice out back by the barn and breaks her wrist. She has already sent all her entry money in for the events, and is so depressed when they tell her she can't ride until she gets a medical release from the doctors. But they do make her a different offer. Jodie turns them down, but after she thinks about it a little longer, she decides to go a head and become a judge instead. Trouble is she won't be going alone. It seems that she will be traveling with some short, fat, balding free lance sports writer, or she assumes, anyway.
Boy is she ever wrong. The man who shows up at her house that morning driving a vintage green mustang, is the complete opposite of what she'd first imagined him to be. What she finds is a man who's approx. six foot three, blonde curly hair, which is a tad to long for her taste, and gorgeous deep green eyes. But he's also dress in expensive, preppy type clothing that looks as if they were taylor made just for him. Her first thought that came to mind was, that he was going to look so out of place in the rodeo circuit. Her second thought was, that it was going to be a long three months.

The last book of the Broken Road series tells Jodie and Jimmy's story. Jimmy Crowe has been in awe/love with Jodie Cahill since he was five years old and she punched the bully who had called him four-eyes and knocked him down. Dramatic circumstances took him away that day and he takes the opportunity to work with her for three months on the rodeo circuit. He thinks he'll finally get over her. Jodie has broken her arm and blown her chance to reclaim her bull riding champion title. She is offered the chance to judge and have all expenses paid if she lets a writer (Jimmy) go with her to ask her questions for newspaper and magazine articles and background for a mystery he is writing. They are like oil and vinegar. This is a more complex story than others in the series. It ends with a 7 years later update on all the characters in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the series, and the last one especially.
